This project aims to strengthen the capacity of farmers to produce wheat as a strategic crop and is part of efforts to provide food security and strengthen the resilience of families in conflict areas.

Project goals

  • Enabling displaced families and host communities to restore their agricultural livelihoods.
  • Reduce economic insecurity by supporting local wheat production.
  • Optimize storage for wheat seeds for the next planting season.

Project activities

  • Distributing herbicides to control weeds in wheat fields.
  • Provide agricultural inputs including:
    - Pesticides
    - Polyester wheat bags
    - Sticky mouse traps
  • Supporting 679 farmers in 4 key villages.

Number of beneficiaries

  • 679 farmers
  • 12,145 dunums of land planted with wheat

Project impact

  • Boost wheat production in the region and reduce reliance on aid.
  • Increase storage efficiency and minimize seed loss.
  • Supporting the stabilization and resilience of rural communities.
