This project aims to strengthen the capacity of farmers to produce wheat as a strategic crop and is part of efforts to provide food security and strengthen the resilience of families in conflict areas.
Project goals
- Enabling displaced families and host communities to restore their agricultural livelihoods.
- Reduce economic insecurity by supporting local wheat production.
- Optimize storage for wheat seeds for the next planting season.
Project activities
- Distributing herbicides to control weeds in wheat fields.
- Provide agricultural inputs including:
- Pesticides
- Polyester wheat bags
- Sticky mouse traps - Supporting 679 farmers in 4 key villages.
Number of beneficiaries
- 679 farmers
- 12,145 dunums of land planted with wheat
Project impact
- Boost wheat production in the region and reduce reliance on aid.
- Increase storage efficiency and minimize seed loss.
